Last Rites for Edw. Den Hartog

Edward Den Hartog died December 16, 1965, at the Sheldon Hospital nursing wing. Funeral services were held Monday, December 20, at 1:30 p.m. in the First Reformed Church. Rev. Wm. Haak officiated. Interment was in Roseland cemetery. A Sanborn Funeral Home Service, with Vic Vogelaar directing.

Edward Den Hartog, son of John and Anna Den Hartog, was born May 24, 1897, at Alton, Iowa.

He attended school near Alton and was baptized in the First Reformed Church at Orange City.

In 1918, he was united in marriage with Agnes Adams [sic] of Sanborn. After the marriage, they farmed near Bigelow, Minnesota.

He came to Sanborn in 1934.

He has one brother, John Den Hartog, and one sister, Mrs. Henry Grotenhuis of Hospers, who survive him.
