Ethel was born April 14, 1937 in Kaplan, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. She worked more than 30 years as a dental and medical office manager. Ethel was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette.
Ethel was active in many needlecraft organizations and sang with Chorale Acadienne. She was an avid and expert crafter, delighting family and friends with knitted, crocheted, beaded and needlepoint projects for many years. Most of all, Ethel loved spending time with her family and friends.
Ethel is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Gerald Charles Sellers of Lafayette, LA; three sons, Charles Sellers and his wife, Michele of Houston, TX, Patrick Sellers and his wife, Jodie of Abbeville, LA and Philip Sellers and his wife, Amy Fasula of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, June Sellers and her wife, Theresa of Washington, DC and Lorna Folger and her husband, David of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Gerald Byler of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neelis and Lilly Byler.
