Amelia was the wife of Maj. Thomas C Howard. They were married on August 16,1804 by Elder Peter Wood. She was the first child born to John F and Elizabeth (Callaway)Patrick. Her husband was a prominent merchant of Richmond, Kentucky, and at one time, he was a State Senator. Amelia and Thomas never gave birth to a child, but took in an orphaned cousin (Kitty Holder)and gave her a home for several years.
