Mrs. Martha J. Bloomquist
Service for Mrs. Martha J. Bloomquist, 83, East Friendship Haven, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bruce Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. John L. Riebhoff, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Bloomquist died Saturday at Trinity Regional Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 27.
Survivors include daughers, Mrs. Max D. (Dolores) Woods, Fort Dodge, Mrs. Robert E. (Mildred) Hampton, Columbia, Mo., Mrs. William (Vivian) Trimpl, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Ervin (Betty) Tague, Mississippi; sons, Robert, Fort Dodge, F. Eugene, Elk City, Okla., J. Dale, Phoenix, and Keith, Branson, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and sister, Mrs. Ida Wesley, Fort Dodge.
Martha Chinberg was born at Callender where she attended schools. In 1917, she married Frank Bloomquist at Callender. Following their marriage they lived in the Lundgren area and moved to Fort Dodge in 1939. She was employed by Friendship Haven for three years. Mr. Bloomquist died in 1975.
Mrs. Bloomquist moved to East Friendship Haven in 1979. She had been a patient at Tomkins Memorial Health Center two weeks prior to being admitted to the hospital.
