Carl T. Calcaterra, 79, Herrin businessman dies.

SERVICES FOR Carl T. Calcaterra, 79, of 805 N. 11 St., Herrin, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Burial will be in San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Mr. Calcaterra died Wednesday, May 29, 1985, in Herrin Hospital.
He was a partner in the Calcaterra Distributing Co., in Herrin, and the Herrin Feed Store.
He was born March 20, 1906, in Herrin, to Orfeo and Susie Colombo Calcaterra. He married Josephine Piantanida Oct. 12, 1933, in Herrin.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Carl L., and Roy G. Calcaterra, both of Herrin; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Julius, Herman, Orfeo "Doc" and Robert Calcaterra, all of Herrin.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mark.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Johnson=Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. The rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today at the funeral home.
