Marjorie Louis Richeson Wilson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late J.W. “Willie” Richeson and Nora Robinson Richeson, was born October 27, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:42 P.M., Sunday, June 26, 2016, in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Age: 87.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary and treasurer and Sunday school teacher and was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was a Farm Bureau Federation secretary and tax consultant for some 36 years; prior to that she was a tax consultant at H&R Block. She was an accomplished seamstress, and as a 4H leader, she taught many young ladies to sew.
She united in marriage to Buford Wilson on December 4, 1948.
Besides her husband, Buford Wilson of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Paul Akridge of Campbellsville; three granddaughters: Mariah Akridge of California, Sarah Jefferson of Georgia and Mary Jefferson of Texas; special friend and caregiver, Dellen Shabazz; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Carrie Matherly, August 24, 2010.
