On 1 January 1925 Lee Hancock (25), wife Zada M. (18) and son Richard L. (1 Month) lived in Floris, Davis County, Iowa. Note: Census taker had Richard's age (3/7) months but corrected it to 1. Age was indexed as 7 years. Middle initials are correct on original image, but wrong on index.

On 4 April 1930 Marion L. Hancock (30), wife Zada M. (23), children; Richard L. (5) and Barbara J. (7/12) lived in Laramie County, Wyoming. Marion was a farmer.

On 5 April 1940 Lee Hancock (40), wife Zada (33), children; Richard (15), Barbara (10) and lodger Cecil R. Wagner (30) lived at 615 East 16 in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming. Lee was a cleaner & polisher at airplane shops. Mr. Wagner was a barber.

Obituary

Zada M. Hancock

Funeral for Zada M. Hancock will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Hancock, a retired Clark County Courthouse switchboard operator, died Saturday in a Portland hospital. She was 77.

Mrs. Hancock was born in Mercer, Mo., and had been a 41 year Vancouver resident. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 175 in Orchards.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband, Marion; a son, Dick Hancock of Vancouver; a daughter, Barbara Jones of Vancouver; sisters, Phyllis Bennet of Ottumwa, Iowa and Rosetta Pazevich of Rathbun, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Riverview Abbey Funeral Home Mausoleum in Portland.

The family suggests memorials be contributions to the American Diabetes Association, Washington Affiliate Inc., 1218 Terry Ave., Seattle, Wash. 98101.
