Sylvia Leigh Billingham, 65, longtime resident of Muskogee, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 6, 2016. She was born August 5, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Richard N. and Annette (Bridgman) Adkins. Sylvia grew up and attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1968. She furthered her education and attended Oklahoma State University, from which she earned her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Being a mother to her son, Tim, was Sylvia's primary focus. She was very active in Boy Scouts with her son Tim and continued to work with them for many years. Being a mother to her son, Tim, was Sylvia's primary focus. Sylvia is survived by her mother Annette Adkins of Muskogee, OK, her son, Tim Billingham, his wife Kelly, and her granddaughter, Megyn who reside in McKinney, TX, along with her cousins, other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Funeral services for Sylvia will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church Rowsey Chapel with Rev. David Burris officiating. A private family interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, OK.
