Agnes Ann Worthington, age 73 of Sterling, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home.

Agnes was born on November 3, 1942 in Sterling, the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Lauff) Aldrich. She attended Newman Central Catholic High School and graduated with the class of 1961. Agnes received her nursing certificate at Sauk Valley Community College and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Winning Wheels in Prophetstown. She married Arthur Roger Worthington on June 20, 1970 in Sterling. Agnes was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur of Sterling; daughter, Alice (Kevin) Miller of Rock Falls; son, Patrick Worthington of Sterling; one grandson; sister, Norma Andrews of Sterling; three brothers, John (Jeannie) Aldrich of Owasso, MI, Dennis (Patricia) Aldrich of Sterling and Ralph Aldrich of Rock Falls; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Aldrich and Louise Flynn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Russo, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
