Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Chad Thibodeaux, pastor of Vatican Baptist Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Landry was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Opelousas. Evelia worked for the St. Landry Parish School Board for 22 1/2 years.
Survivors include three sons, Elward James Landry and his wife, Claudette, of Sunset, Elton Landry, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Opelousas and Eddie Landry and his wife, Bee Bee, of Arnaudville; one daughter, Elaine Artigue, and her husband, Calvin, of Arnaudville; two sisters, Edna Marks Speyrer and husband, W.G., of Washington and Jeanette Marks Stelly and husband, John, of Breaux Bridge; ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elton Joseph Landry; her second husband, Malcolm Joseph Prudhomme; her parents Rene Marks and the former Olivia Lagrange; two brothers Edgar Marks and Saul Marks, Sr.; and one sister, Ella Marks Stelly.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home until service time on Saturday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Landry, Eliott Artigue, Elias Artigue, Brent Artigue, Ian Artigue, Joey Landry and Elward Landry, Jr.
