Daughter of Samuel and Orpha Heath Norton.

She was not listed as living with her parents in the 1860 census. She appears to be living in the household of her brother Samuel in the 1870 census.

So far there is no evidence that she was ever married.

Suggested edit: Wyoming County Herald, dated September 19, 1907
"Miss Mary Norton, who has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. William Crippin for several years past, died Monday. The funeral was held Wednesday."

I know the headstone says died 1906 but article says 1907 and death record in the town of Freedom also says 1907 it also says age as 71 y 11 m 9d, it gives name as Mary Malinda.

Mrs William Crippin was Orpha, Mary's sister.

Thanks a lot to contributor Kari King for her helpful work. Even though the stone is incorrect I will leave the memorial as is. Anyone who is interested will see the correction here.
