Jane Galen Akers, born in Pa. in 1797. and died about 1856. She is buried in the orginial section of Blodgett Cemetery, Linn Co, IA.
Jane married in 1820 in PA to Benjamin Franklin Akers. He was born 13 May 1791 and died in 1850 in PA and was buried there at age 60 years. Benjamin's parents were John and Eunice (Newbegin) Akers.
Jane and Benjamin were parents of several children.
Note" Pauline Cooper sent the following info. On lot # 32 the WPA lists Mrs Akers name on a brick, but no other info.
The brick has long been lost by grass growing over the brick marker so it is lost to us. Hopefully someone will uncover it at some time. (Thanks Pauline).
