Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and aunt, Emily Jane Sherrow McGee, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Brigham City on Monday, October 23, 2006. She was born on August 30, 1923 in Mexico, Missouri, a daughter of Cecil and Helen Durham Sherrow. Emily married Joseph Don McGee on May 17, 1941 in Mexico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1983. She was an active member of the LDS church and held various positions throughout her life. Emily had worked in the health care industry for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and cooking, traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are five children, Carl Don (Jackie) McGee, West Jordan; Joseph Monroe (Ruth Joyce) McGee, Taylorsville; Cecilia (Alvin) Harward, Elk Ridge; Helen (Jeff) Cosson, Taylorsville; Donna (Lynn) Poulsen, Brigham City; 26 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren on the way. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, John, Larry and Dale Sherrow; Mary Margaret Haubner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her parents, one brother, one sister and one grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kolob Chapel, 245 South 600 East, Springville, Utah. Family will greet friends on Friday, October 27, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and on Saturday at the church from 12 Noon to 12:40 p.m. Interment will be in the Springville City Cemetery.
