Beryl Blear Keddie, 87, of McKeesport, formerly of Lincoln Borough, died Friday, June 17, 2016. She was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Fay Evans Brothers. She was the wife of the late Aloysius W. Keddie, who died May 20, 2005. She was a member of the former St. Mary's German Catholic Church in McKeesport. Beryl had worked for the South Allegheny School District as a monitor on the bus that provided transportation for handicapped students. She is survived by her son, James A. (Celia) Keddie, of Richmond, Texas; daughters, Sharon A. (Theodore) Opfar, of Versailles, and Kathleen A. (John) Wilhelm, of Blythedale; grandchildren, Felicity L. and Jeremy Keddie, Stacie (Loren) Fisher, Kellie (Michael) Gerlach and Katelyn, Kayla, Karlee and Katrinia Wilhelm; great-grandsons, Andrew Carpenter and Jacob, Anthony and Noah Fisher; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laureen M. Keddie; sisters, Dorothy Sullivan and Barbara Pasternack; and brother, Richard Brothers.

Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., Boston, Elizabeth Township (412-751-5000), Drew J. Gilbert, director. Private burial will be in the Corpus Christy (St. Mary's German) Cemetery, McKeesport.
