Born June 16, 1928 in Neosho, MO, he honorably served as a Marine in both WWII and the Korean War. He was employed in 1954 by the Great Western Railroad in Kansas City until a merger in 1968 with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad moving to St. Charles, IL, retiring as Treasurer in 1986. An active member of the Association of American Railroads, at times serving as Chairman.
He is survived by his three loving children; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister; as well many dear in-laws and friends.
Funeral Services will be held, 11 a.m., Friday at the Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St.(Rte. 38), Geneva. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
