Terry was a son of the late Dempsey Horton and Lettie Sue Church Horton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Horton Dellinger.
Survivors include Daughters Valerie Sipe of Maiden, and Jessica Norris of Matthews, NC. brothers, Johnny Horton of Ellenboro, Ed Horton of Gastonia; and three sisters, Deona Horton and Tracy Chapman both of Oklahoma and Emby Whitlock of Newton and his club family, Gargoyles MC of North Carolina.
