LAWRENCEBURG, KY... SLOAN, SGT. MAJOR SANDRA SUE WHITE, 49, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, November 5, 2005. She retired from the Army National Guard following 31 years of service.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bill Raymond Sloan; parents, Roscoe and Betty Allen White of Louisville; children, Joseph Warren Sloan of Frankfort, KY, Shannon LeAnn Sloan Stevens and Stacie Lynn Sloan, of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Shelby Sloan of Maysville and Ethan Raymond Stevens; two sisters, Venis White, and Pamela White, of Louisville; three brothers, Tinze White (Renee), Gary White (Teresa) and Troy White (Megan) of Louisville; and mother-in-law, Sarah Sloan of Louisville.

Her service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Noal Cotton Jr. officiating. Committal services, with full military honors, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery chapel in Louisville, led by Col. James Dill.

Visitation will be from 3 - 9 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. American Legion Auxiliary service will be at 8:30 p.m. Monday evening.

Memorial gifts are suggested to the Veteran's Wall of Honor, Anderson Co. American Legion Post #34, P.O. Box 672, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 or the Alton Christian Church, 1686 Old Frankfort Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
