EDGAR Services for Mrs. Phoebe Wenzel. 87.. Route 1 Edgar, will be at 1:30 p m Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church in the Town of Frankfort. Mrs. Wenzel died early Saturday morning at the Marshfield Convalescent Center where she had been residing since Oct 17. 1975. The Rev. James Reiff. pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby after 2 p.m. today. The former Phoebe Armitage was born May 15, 1890. at Seymour and was married to Carl Wenzel on June 8, 1910, at the Congregational Church at Seymour. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1960. The Wenzels farmed all their life in the Town of Frankfort. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and a member and former treasurer of its Ladies Aid. Surviving are two sons. Eldred and Norman, both of the Town of Frankfort: a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Beilke. Milwaukee; two sisters. Mrs. Laura Papenfuss and Mrs. Nora Papenfuss, both of Dakota, Minn.; three brothers, Claude, Erwin and Melvin Armitage, all of Seymour; nine grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
