Mrs. William Hardy died unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna (Hardy) Moore, in Jerome Tuesday afternoon. Funeral will be Thursday, today, at 1:30 at the Liggett-Randolph Funeral home with interment in Jerome cemetery.
Born April 17, 1884, in Scotland, Mrs. Hardy came to the United States when she was one year old and settled in Des Moines. She moved to Seymour at the age of 12 and then to Jerome.
She was married to William Hardy in 1904 and he and one son, Robert Hardy, preceded her in death.
Survivors are three daughters, Myral Rash of Des Moines and Ruth Shock and Mrs. Moore of Jerome. There are 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Margaret Allen Hardy, daughter of Robert and Anna (McClure) Allan, was born in Scotland April 17, 1884, and departed this life July 24, 1973, at the age of 89 years, three months and seven days.
She was one year old when she came with her family to the United States, locating in Des Moines, Iowa. At 12 years of age she came to Seymour and then to Jerome, Iowa, where she was living at the time of her death.
On Jan. 10, 1904, she was united in marriage to William Hardy. To this union four children were born. Three daughters, Mrs. Myral Rash of Des Moines and Mrs. Ruth Shock and Mrs. Edna Moore, both of Jerome, survive her passing. A son, Robert Hardy, and her husband preceded her in death.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a son-in-law, Gale Shock.
Mrs. Hardy accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and attended the Gospel Hall in Jerome faithfully through the years. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all.
Funeral was Friday, July 26, at Liggett-Randolph Funeral home in Seymour with John Lewis officiating. Interment was in Jerome cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons.

Mrs. Richard Rash and Mrs. Myral Rash of Des Moines visited in the Tootie Moore home Tuesday morning. Tootie's mother, Mrs. William Hardy, passed away that afternoon. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Edmond Allan of Prairie du Sac, Wisc., Mrs. Flo Allan of Ottumwa and Mrs. Myral Rash and Bill and Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Rash of Des Moines.
