Walter G. Dunn was welcomed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 12, 2015.

He was born in Avon NY on June 10th 1927. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Rochester, and served in the Navy during WW2 on a destroyer Naval Minesweeper.

Walter was married to the love of his life, Genevieve for 65 years.

Walt and Gege raised their family in Rochester NY and were charter members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Walt worked as an analytical chemist at Kodak for 40 years.
Walt was an avid bowler and loved table tennis. He won several medals in both the New York and Michigan Senior games. Walt enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and billiards, but what Papa treasured the most was his two grandson's visits in the summer, and spending any holiday with Todd Marten and Jonathan Andrew.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, brother, sister, grandchildren, brother-in-law, as well as nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his son, Carl Clifford in 2011.

A private graveside service will be held this week in Holland, and a celebration of his life will take place in Rochester NY at a later date.

Contributions can be made to Hospice of Holland in his honor. The family is being served by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home.
