The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the residence, Rev. H. H. Shimer of the First Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial was in the Sloansville cemetery. Mr. Montanye was born in Sloansville but had lived in Schenectady for twenty-five years. For the past eighteen years he was employed in the Locomotive Works. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and of the English Lutheran Church.
He is survived by one daughter, May of Schenectady, three sons, Fred of Esperance, Frank of New Haven, Conn., and Clarence of Schenectady and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ostrander, and two brothers, Ira and Charles, all of Sloansville.
