Ronnie Alan Posey, 61, of Pana155890649ma City, FL passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Ronnie, a lifelong resident, was born the son of Rolain and Phyllis Posey on February 5, 1955.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and listening to music. He was a long-time member of Acme Lodge #222. He was also a long-time member of the Panama City Scottish Rite and Shaddai Shrine Temple. He was employed at Marine Inland Fabricators since 1987.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his step-son, Jimmy Emanuel, brothers, Dennis Posey and Michael Jencks, special brother-in-law, Phillip Hobb, grandmother, Francis Kelley and his niece, Kendra.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Martha Posey, daughter, January Posey-Huckabee (Charles), brothers and sisters, Star Hobb, Sherry Hill (Paul Peacock), Larry Jencks (Patty) and Walt Jencks (Susan), three grandchildren Natalie Huckabee, Connor Huckabee and Kelley Huckabee, special nephew, Jimmy "Bo" Russ, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Nickie McAllister officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Jencks, Jimmy Russ, Jimmy "Bo" Russ, Charles Huckabee, Dorman Sistrunk, Tony Susi. Honorary pallbearers will be David Barnett, Teddy VanWagner, Bob Menfi and Tommy Phillips.
The Masonic Lodge will be open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masters Charity Fund at Acme Lodge #222.
