Phyllis Kelley (Posey) Jencks
Phyllis Kelley Posey Jencks, 82, of Panama City, Fla., passed from this life Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances A. Newby Kelley; father, James O. Kelley; four brothers; one sister; two sons; husbands, Rollain E. Posey and Walter "W.C." Jencks; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jencks is survived by two daughters, Rolana Starr Posey Hobb (Phillip) and Sherry Posey Hill (Paul); three sons, Ronnie A. Posey (Betty Faye), Larry Jencks (Patty) and Walter Jencks (Susan); 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jencks was a lifelong learner. She loved crocheting, reading, gardening and fishing. She was the recipient of many awards for her lifelong service, compassion and devotion to the community. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Millville Advent Christian Church, 2220 E. Third St., Millville, FL 32401. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Pallbearers are Ronnie A. Posey, Larry Jencks, Phillip Hobb, Charles Huckabee, Stephen Jencks, Todd Moseley and Jimmy Russ.
