First came to America in 1883; returned to Denmark and in 1889 returned with fiance; married Elsa Marie Christensen on June 29, 1889; survived by wife; children, Mrs. Peter Bonde, Emil and Thorvald, all of Newell, and Mrs. Carl Thomsen of Everly; two brothers, Peter of Newell and Paul of For Island, Germany; preceded in death by a son, Lewis, who died on the field of battle in France; also a brother in Denmark.
