Maria (Mary) lost her mother, in 1859, probably due to childbirth complications with a stillborn son. Mary's father, Jacob, was left with five little girls. Written family records from the Shantz Station Kramp historian says that Maria was adopted by Jacob's sister, Eva Kramp Mueller and her husband, Peter, as they had no children. However, she seems to have kept her Kramp name intact.
She married Christian Fischer on December 26, 1871 in
Shantz Station.
They had the following known children:

Clara Fischer Dedels born 1874.
Eva Elizabeth Fischer born October 28,1876.
Jacob Fischer born 1878.
Carolina Fischer born 1880-1927.
