Mr. Waters was a tank driver for Spiker Oil for 39 years, retiring in 1978. After his retirement, he worked as the parking lot attendant at NBD and the city lot. He was an active member of Stockwell United Methodist Church, and was financial secretary for 26 years. He was a 50-year member and past master of Masonic Lodge 123; a member of Scottish Rite and York Rite, both of Indianapolis; and a 40-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Hope Chapter 5.
He and Ruth Irene Elming were married September 30, 1939, in Lafayette, IN, and she is his only survivor.
