Etta May Atteberry was the daughter of W. R. Atteberry. She married Charles Luther Davis November 23, 1890 in Thayer, Oregon Co., Missouri.

Mrs. Etta Davis, wife of the late C. L. Davis, died in a hospital in Oklahoma City, on May 28th, where she went for an operation. Mrs. Davis went to Oklahoma a few years ago and was living at Coweta with her sons. At an early age she was united with the Baptist church and was a faithful member to the end. The body was brought back to the old home east of Thayer and buried in the Davis cemetery last Sunday, the services being conducted by Elder Cunningham. She is survived by 3 sons, 3 daughters, brothers and sisters. To the bereaved, The News joins with the friends in extending condolence. (THE THAYER NEWS, Fri. 04/Jun/1920, p 3)
