She married Gene M. Finnell, an Idaho native, on Dec. 8, 1946. In March 1947, they settled in Gifford where they farmed outside of town. They divorced in 1972.
She was postmaster at Gifford for several years. She graduated from Lewis-Clark State College as a licensed practical nurse in 1971 and worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Lewiston.
She met Gene L. Watson at ALACCA family camp in Harpster in the summer of 1972. They married on April 21, 1973, and lived in Pullman, later moving to Moscow. She worked at the Corner Drug Store in Pullman in the postal department for many years, retiring at age 75. She was a member of the Moscow Church of the Nazarene.
