James W. DeHaven died at the home of his son, Frank, Dec. 22, 1912, having reached the ripe old age of 80 years and 2 days. The funeral service was conducted from the home of his son, Frank, West of Hepler, Monday afternoon by the Methodist minister, Rev. M. H. Eells, and his remains were laid to rest in the Hepler cemetery. His wife died about one year ago. He leaves seven children besides a host of friends to mourn his death.
