Mrs. Capps graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, then UNCC Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She was a blessing to many young moms and babies until she retired. During retirement she enjoyed her family, camping, extensive traveling, volunteering at Red Cross and her church. She was an avid reader and gardener.
Mrs. Capps is survived by her husband of 60 years S. Robert “Bob” Capps, Sr. daughters Bobbie Luckadoo (Bob) of Shelby, Patsy Brandon (Terry) of Charlotte, son Sam Capps Jr. (Marilyn) of Lake Wylie, SC grandchildren: Joshua, Callie, Annie Luckadoo, Andy (April) Brandon, Jennifer (Louie) Cadwell, Brittany (T.J.) Deputy, Chloe and Kaylee Capps, great grandchildren: Maddie Hetzel, Mason Brandon and Riley Cadwell and sister Nancy Catena of Cherryville.
Funeral: Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Jack officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
