Elizabeth was the daughter of Alexander and Rebecca Phillips. She was one of seven children. She married Morris Jackson (born 1833) who died of pneumonia during service in the Civil War. Morris is buried in Wilmington National Cemetery in North Carolina. Elizabeth remained a widow until her death. She and Morris had 4 children: Elizabeth Olive, Charles Morris, Rose Ellen and Albertus L. She shares a monument with her son, Albertus in Rose Hill Cemetery. I believe the Civil War flag is in honor of her husband since his body was not returned after the war.
