He married Sue Martin in Abilene, Texas. She preceded him in death 32 years ago in Rome, Oklahoma. They had 6 children, which include Jim D. Duncan, Ina L. Duncan, Pattie Duncan and Max Duncan.
Roscoe came to Union Co., NM in 1881 and worked on the Cross L Ranch. He retired in 1885 and moved to TX and then he returned to NM in 1933.
He was preceded in death by 2 children who passed away in infancy as well as by a son, J.D., and daughter, Mrs. Loretta Bailey.
He is survived by son, Max, Des Moines, NM and daughter, Mrs. Charles Keys, Encino, NM as well as by sister, Mrs. O.C. Cowan, Canadian, TX and brother, John, Aledo, TX.
