Mr. William Earl Deal, age 78, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. Deal was a native of Bulloch County and the Westside Community and a 1955 graduate of Statesboro High School. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force in Texas, Washington, DC and Bermuda. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Statesboro, GA after 33 years of service. Mr. Deal was a member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Mr. Deal was preceded in death by his parents, W. Erastus and Zella Belle Jones Deal and sister-in-law, Shirley Christoffer.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Patricia Christoffer Deal of Statesboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Joy Deal of Statesboro; two daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Joseph Andrews of Evans, GA and Angela Paulk of Bryson City, NC; six grandchildren, Laura A. Hromyak (Andrew) Evans, GA, Daniel Paulk, Andrew Paulk, Christopher Paulk, Justin Deal and Cody Deal, all of Statesboro; one brother and sister-in-law, Arnold J. and Barbara Sue Deal of Statesboro, brother-in-law, Thomas (Sandy) Christoffer and sister-in-law, Jenny Christoffer, all of Vancouver, Washington; a nephew, Eric (Lee Anna) Deal and nieces, Heather (Shane) Stewart of Statesboro, and Kelli Ekter of Portland, Oregon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Scott officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephew, Eric Deal.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church.
