BOWMAN, Virgil, 88, of Morrow died Friday, August 26, 2005 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH. Born August 14, 1917 in Owsley County, KY to Henry Wilson Bowman and Laura (nee: Bishop) Bowman, he was the longtime owner of Bowman’s Clothing Store in Union Township. A member of the Lebanon and Morrow Masonic Lodges, he was, also, a member of the Scottish Rite of Cincinnati.
Preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Molly Florence (nee: Spence), his wife, Minnie (nee: Marshall) Bowman, one son, Michael Bowman, one sister, Thelma June Peters, one grandson, Timothy Cecil Bowman, and one great grandson Timothy Cecil Leever. Survivors include one son, Cecil Bowan of New Richmond, OH, four daughters, June Bowman of Morrow, OH, Jean York of Franklin, OH, Janice Kinney of Franklin, OH, Joyce Baker of Gillham, AR, one brother, Donald S. Bowman of Morrow, OH, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation, Monday, August 29, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 PM with Masonic and Scottish Rite services at 7:30 PM. Funeral services on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 1:30 PM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon, OH. Reverend Charles Denny will officiate. Interment follows in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, OH. Memorials requested to the Shriner’s Burn Institute. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon, OH.
