FARRIS Jimmy David, left this earth in the arms of the Lord on May 7, 2002. He was born August 4, 1925 to Emmaline and David Ayoub Farris in Dewar, OK. As a child he moved with his family to Oklahoma City where he lived most of his life. He was employed by Evans Furniture for 37 years where he enjoyed the friendship of his coworkers. Jimmy retired from there in January 2002.

Jimmy, the youngest of six, was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rose Shdeed.

He is survived by a brother, Joseph, and his wife, Elizabeth, of OKC; sisters, Alice Farris of OKC, Josephine Nayfa and husband, Fred, of Sweetwater, TX, and Sally David and husband, Eli, of Wichita, KS; 13 nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved, and Michael McAlvain and son, Cade, and Kelly McAlvain whom he lovingly called grandsons.

He was a board member and officer at Picadilly Square Condos where he lived and enjoyed many friends. Jimmy was a member of St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 9, 2002. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
