Anna Christine Larson, 86, longtime resident of Bonners Ferry, died Friday at the Libby Convalescent Home.
Born September 19, 1888 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Mrs. Larson was married to Olaf Larson at Eau Claire, Wisconsin on March 17, 1910. Shortly thereafter she and her husband, who preceded her in death in 1959, moved to Havre where they homesteaded.
They moved to Bonners Ferry in 1941, then to Napa, California, returning to Bonners Ferry in 1945.
Mrs. Larson had been a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and was a Gold Star Mother.
A son, Lawrence, was killed in France during the Battle of Normandy in 1944. She also was preceded in death by son Lloyd in 1963 and daughter Mrs. Margaret Smith in 1968.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. John (Marie) Shelton of Kalispell, Mrs. Charles Simmers of Fairfield, California, Mrs. Clint Chamberlin and Mrs. Bertha Fry of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; son George Larson of Furtuna, California; brothers Sigrud Nelson of Strathcona, Minnesota, Anneus Nelson of Middle River, Minnesota, and William Remol of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Arvid Erickson of Stevens, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
