, 88, of Pittsburg, died at 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Medicalodge South in Pittsburg.

Louise was born Oct. 18, 1927 at Fredonia, Kan., to Harry and Mabel (Boss) Adams.

Her mother later married J.C. Booth after the death of Louise’s father.

On July 21, 1946, Louise married Kenneth Dutton at Toronto, Kan. The couple was married for 68 years until Kenneth’s death in 2015.

Louise was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg.

As a sixteen year old, she taught in country schools for two years during WWII. She later worked on the family’s farm in Erie and also was employed at the United States Census Bureau in Pittsburg.

Louise is survived by a son, Robert (Bob) Dutton of the home; a daughter, Gail Burns and husband Jim of Mindenmines, Mo.; two brothers, Marvin Adams of Fredonia and Max Adams of Kansas City, Mo.; a stepbrother, Clyde Booth of Topeka; three grandchildren, grandson Matthew Dutton of Pittsburg; granddaughters Kerry Pommier and husband Brian of Fort Scott, Lindsay Dutton Altheide of Joplin, Mo. and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Danny Dutton, an infant daughter Linda Dutton, three brothers, Wayne Adams, Kenneth Adams, and Warren Adams and stepbrother, Ray Booth.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2016 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James Sukraw officiating.

Inurnment will be at a later date at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour before the services at the church.

Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.

Memorials may be made to the church; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.

Services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg.
