Fannie died after fighting a fire at the age of 43 and she was pregnant.
She had beautiful, long, red hair, a trait of many other Swangos and Roses.

-----------
Per Bess Miller Rose - her grandmother Laura Effie (Wilson) Rose passed down the story orally of how Fannie died. There was a fire on July 10, 1877 at their home. A bucket brigade was formed to fight the fire from a nearby creek. When the fire was out Fannie was missing, she was found face down in
the creek and drowned. It is unknown why she lost consciousnesses but she was pregnant with her 16th child.

She's gone but
not forgotten.
'Tis ours to miss
Thee.
All our years and
tender memories
Of thee keep thine
in the Lord to rest.
For so he giveth his
beloved sleep
