Mrs. Dorothy Imogene 'Gene' McGuire, age 84, of Forrest City, died Monday at the Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past six months.
Mrs. McGuire was born June 26, 1924, in Forrest City, and was the daughter of Henry Grady Beazley and Ruby Clark Beazley. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, but also lived in St. Louis, Missouri from 1956 until 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of the first Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. McGuire married T. R. 'Ted' McGuire in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by two sons; Gary McGuire of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Tim McGuire of Missouri, one sister, Mrs. Carolyn Harris of Forrest City, four grandchildren; Misty, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Emma, and three great-grandchildren; Haley, Hunter, and Noah.
Services for Mrs. McGuire will be held Graveside, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be at 10:00 Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home before the service.
