Jan.22,1967-Funeral services for Millard Dearing, 83, who died Sunday afternoon in Forrest Memorial Hospital, will be held Tuesday in Stevens Funeral Home. Rev.Floye Chapman will conduct the services. Burial to follow in Forrest Park cemetery. Born Sep.30,1883, in Cross County, the son of Mrs.Eliza Hill Dearing and Ben F.Dearing. A resident of Newcastle for many years, he spent his life in Cross and St.Francis counties. A retired farmer, he was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church east of Colt. He had been in poor health since suffering a stroke five years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.Charlie Nichols Dearing, whom he married 57 years ago; four sons, John Dearing of Wynne, and Calvin, O'Dell and Charlie M.Dearing of near Wynne; a sister, Mrs.John Barksdale of Colt; a brother, Buford Dearing of near Wynne; a sister, Mrs.Eva Dearing of Newcastle; and eleven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
