Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 1980 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jensen-Malone Funeral Home in Bonners Ferry.
Lillie was the oldest of ten children and was born on April 3, 1892 in Polk County, Minnesota. In 1902 she came with her family to Bonners Ferry, where her father homesteaded.
She attended school on the Northside; after finishing her schooling, she worked for her aunt M. Rose Northrup in a millinery shop, after which she worked for C.W. King at the Bonners Ferry Herald. Lillie attended the Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry where she was an organist.
In 1912 she was married to Clarence H Skaurud; of this marriage two children were born, Elise Lillian and Betty Anna. In 1926 she moved to California with her husband and daughters. In later years she worked in and later owned and operated a restaurant until her retirement.
Lillie is survived by two daughters, Elsie L Chace of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Betty Coffee of Antioch, Calif.; granddaughter Marianne Hoover of Fieldbrook, Calif.; great-grandsons Robert and John Hoover of Fieldbrook, Calif.; three sisters, Mildred McPherson of Bonners Ferry, Alice Thomas of Coeur d'Alene and Genevieve Dodson of Enumclaw, Wash.; and three brothers, Percy Dunning of Martinez, Calif.; Arthur Dunning of Spokane, Wash., and Roy Dunning of Bonners Ferry.
She was preceded in death by parents, William and Anna Dunning; two sisters, Rose Jarvis and Ellena Slater; and two brothers, Delbert Dunning and Bryan Dunning.
