Angeline Ayers, 40, of 257 Lortz Dr., died of breast cancer Thursday, April 13, 1995, in her home. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 tonight at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after noon Saturday at the Chapel.
Survivors include her mother, Nellie Ayers of Marion; three brothers, Darold and Clifford and wife Cheryl, all of Cedar Rapids, and Douglas and wife Doreen of Toddville; three sisters, Gerri Henderson and husband Lee and Darlene Eiler and husband Don, all of Marion and Delores Hobson and husband Jim of Cedar Rapids; 19 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and -nephews; and a very special companion, her dog Scoobie.
She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents and a great-niece, Sabrina.
Angeline was born Dec. 7, 1954, in Iowa City, the daughter of Darold and Nellie Peyton Ayers, and graduated from Monroe School. Until recently, she made her home at the Linn County Care Facility and Discovery Village. She worked for Options of Linn County.
Angeline's needs were many, but her wants were few. She was a special and loving daughter, sister, aunt and companion to Scoobie. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
