She was born on June 1, 1925 in Canada. She moved to the United States where she worked as a bookkeeper for a real estate company in Washington, DC and later as a bookkeeper for her husband's business while raising her family. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Mrs. Henderson loved her cats, her daschund Snoopy, playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Episcopal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and her sister in Canada; her son Peter C. Henderson.
She is survived by her husband Charles Neal Henderson; sons William T. and his wife Janice Henderson of Benedict, MD, Thomas B. and his wife Tina Henderson of Dunkirk, MD; grandchildren Amber Henderson, Joseph Henderson, Brent Henderson, Kenneth Henderson and Brian Henderson.
