Son of Charles W. and Clementine Beck Duffee, he married Mary Olive, was a clerk in a hardware store, lived on S. Main St, Sandy Lake, died there of coronary disease, per death certificate 113618, whose informant was Eldora M. Vosler of Sandy Lake. Buried Dec 21 1943.

Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on Jun 26 1895 in Franklin, Venango Co, PA, Burton Eugene Duffee of Oil City, tinner, 21, son of Charles and C. Duffee, married Mary Olive Marsh Rowe of Franklin, 21, daughter of Patch Hyatt and E. M. Rowe; first marriage for both.

Franklin News-Herald, Monday, Dec 20 1943:
B. E. Duffee, 71, died of a heart attack at 7:15 pm Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Vosler of Sandy Lake. He was born in Oil City, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W Duffee.

He worked many years at Franklin Hardware and Plumbing Co., then at Franklin Elks Club, then at Polk State School. Since retiring, he lived with his daughter. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklin.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Vosler; son F. E. Duffee of New York City; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Clyde D. Duffee of Oil City, and Frank Duffee of Nickleville; and a sister, Mrs. Charles M. Long of Franklin.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at his daughter's home with Rev. H. Edgar Shade, pastor of Greenville Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
