RINGGOLD - Trudy Mae Olinger Harris, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in a local health care facility.

She was a native of Scottsboro, Ala., but had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1950 and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was also employed with Erlanger hospital for more than 15 years as a nurse's aide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Granville Harris.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Harris and Fred Slater of Ringgold, Betty Harris and Jerry Place of East Ridge; son, Billy J. and Peggy Harris of Ringgold; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 3, 2004, at 10 a.m. EST in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. CST in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Flat Rock, Ala.
The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and all day Friday at the funeral home.
