82, of Watkins Glen, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 after a brief illness. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, June 10th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St, Watkins Glen. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 11:00am at the Altay Baptist Church in Dundee. Followed by burial and military honors at the Union Cemetery of Tyrone. Charles was born on April 13, 1934 in Tyrone, NY to Raymond and Mildred Perry. He was the middle child of 9 children. He honorably served in the US Army. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Celia Bowdin, Doris Pipes, Alfred Perry and Grace Ameigh.
Charles was a member and Trustee of the Altay Baptist Church; a 45 year IAEI (Genesee Valley Chapter), and Life Member of Local 313 International Union (Painted Post). He loved gardening, and loved to share his vegetables with his family and friends. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Altay Baptist Church, 4289 Six Corners Dundee, NY 14837; or Tyrone Fire Department, P.O. Box 69. Tyrone, NY.
