Ida Maude Brinton, daughter of Andrew and Annie Lewis Wooley was born January 16, 1897 at Cabool, Missouri, and departed this life at the age of 84 years, I month and 16 days at a hospital in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Charles Oliver Brinton August 10, 1919. She assumed her responsibilities of three step sons, Olin, Clarence and Stanley, who all preceded her in death. On Nov 6,1937 a son Homer Carl "Bud" was adopted at the age of 5 years, who is now living in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1955 they moved to Martinsville, Missouri where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Christian Church where she attended as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, four sisters, Dora, Florence, Edna, and Grace and two brothers Clarence and Cecil. She is survived by her son Bud and three daughters-in-laws, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one sister
Hazel Trueblood of Billingham Washington, nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held March 10, with the Rev. James Collins officiating. The Old Rugged Cross and Beyond the Sunset were sang by Clara Belle Gentry and accompanied by Mrs. Oral Hatten. Pallbearers wee Bobby Eisenbarger ,Lee Hook, Everett Smith, Donald Gard, Donnie Hook, and Duane Bartlett, Burial in the Kidwell Cemetery Martinsville, Missouri.
