Douglas Gilbert George, age 62, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Waterman, IL, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was born on January 11, 1954 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Milo and Elizabeth (Gilbert) George. Mr. George was employed, for many years, by the Waterman State Bank in Waterman, IL. Doug was at this time working as a real estate agent in Orlando, FL. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed riding his Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle with his many friends. Doug was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Puzz" George of Waterman, IL; his sister, Karyn Angstadt of Lawrenceville, GA; as well as his niece, Courtney Angstadt of Atlanta, GA and nephew, Jared (Anne) Angstadt of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Milo "Buck" George. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield, Waterman, IL. Interment will follow in the North Clinton Cemetery in Waterman, IL.
