Pamela Draughorne Smallwood, 71, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Lance Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to West Highland – Safe Harbor Baptist Church, 7065 Mosley Dixon Road, Macon, 31220.
Pamela was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Benjamin "Joe" and Hazel Strong Draughorne and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ernest Smallwood and twin brother, Phillip "Elmo" Draughorne. She was a graduate of Miller High School and was retired after thirty five years with the Medical Center of Central Georgia, as the Director of Governmental Programs and Special Accounts. Pamela was a member of West Highland Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
