Angie, Mom, Nana, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord on May 20, 2016.
She was born in Rosemont, Ariz., to Francisco and Manuela Salas, moving to Bisbee at a young age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Florencio O. Acuña; daughter, Rita; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She leaves behind her children, Florencio S. Acuña, George Acuña (Rachel), Bill Acuña (Cathy), Tom Acuña (Alicia), Bob Acuña, Irene Gonzalez (Raymundo), and Raul A. Acuña (Rosalie); 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Angie attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was very active, volunteering for years, including belonging to the St. Patrick Women's Club.
She volunteered at the Copper Queen Hospital for several years and really enjoyed donating her time. She was proud to be a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her favorite pastime was working on her crafts; the entire family benefited from the many items she created.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Church on June 11, 2016, with rosary at 9:00 a.m. and funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment following Mass.
